SUMMARY
With this privacy policy (the “Policy”), we want to let you know how we at Molecular Frontiers Foundation, established in 2006 (herein “Molecular Frontiers”, “we” or “us”) promise to take care of the personal information you provide us when opening an account at the Molecular Frontiers Inquiry Prize website. This Policy explains which personal information we collect from you and for what reasons, how we use, store transfer such data but also how you can contact us to ask about your data and invoke your rights.
1. WHO WE ARE
Molecular Frontiers started as a non-profit foundation registered in the state of Massachusetts, USA in 2006. In 2007, a second branch was founded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm, Sweden. Working globally, Molecular Frontiers also has hubs in Africa and Asia. The organization operates with a small staff and relies extensively on volunteer contributions and support from governments, industry, and other non-profits.
2. WHAT WE PROMISE
We promise to keep your data safe and to not to sell your data to third parties. We promise to give you the right to access and delete your data.
3. WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Personal information can be any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. In other words, it can be any information that could allow us to identify you both directly and indirectly (like for example your name, email address, or your postal address). In this Policy, we will use the word “data” to refer to personal information.
4. REASONS FOR PROCESSING OF YOUR DATA
We will only use and process data about you if we have one of the following reasons to do so:
– One or more questions that you have submitted to the competition has been nominated as finalist by the judges of the competition
– A question that you have submitted has been selected as winner of the competition by the judges
5. WHEN DO WE COLLECT YOUR DATA?
We will collect data about you when you use our Services, in the following situations:
– When you register a Molecular Frontiers Inquiry Prize Account
– When you submit a question to the Molecular Frontiers Inquiry Prize competition
6. WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT?
We use data that you have explicitly provided to us when you registered an account on the website. Data that you explicitly provide us with:
– name
– email address
– country of residence
– date of birth
– physical address
– telephone number
– questions that you submit to the competition
7. HOW LONG WILL WE KEEP YOUR DATA?
We will keep your information for as long as you have an account on the website. We may keep your information for longer if you are selected as winner of the competition, since the rules state that a person only can win the competition once.

8. ACCESSING, CHANGING AND UPDATING YOUR DATA
When you use our website, you are able to quickly update or delete data that you have actively provided.
9. CHANGES IN THE PRIVACY POLICY
This Policy may change from time to time. Any changes to this Policy will be posted on this page.
10. HOW TO CLOSE DOWN YOUR ACCOUNT

Please note that such withdrawal may mean that you will no longer take part in this year’s competition, since we need to be able to contact you if one of your questions is selected as finalist or winner.
